Incredibly Cruel Wiki:Rules

Below are a set of rules to follow when editing on this wiki.

1. Incredibly Cruel criteria: When adding a page onto the wiki, the page must be about a character. The character must be presented as a character meant to loved and hated at the same time due to their actions, personality traits, and additional characteristics, but clearly, not all villains are Incredibly Cruel for obvious reasons. Please read the criteria on Incredibly Cruel villains.
2. Neutral tone and accurate information: While writing an article, be sure to use neutral tone and provide accurate and true information on the character.
3. No real-life people: This wiki only accepts fictional characters. Do not add pages on real life people. Adding a page on a real-life individual is considered slander and libel. Doing this will lead to an indefinite block.
4. Only villains and anti-heroes: This wiki only accepts villains or anti-heroes. If they are treated as villains in their story but don't have a Villains Wiki article yet, feel free to create their page on this wiki (depending on whether they meet the criteria or not).
5. No harassment: Do not make personal attacks on users. No cyberbullying or use of slurs to attack a user based on their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, etc. Any acts of harassment will be handled with a block.
6. No plagiarism: Do not copy information from other wikis or online sources onto articles. This also includes copying contents into the infobox. Write the page in your own words with research you have gathered. Consistent acts of plagiarism will result in an indefinite block.
7. No vandalism: Any acts of defacing a page, such as removing significant content or adding gibberish or inappropriate content onto a page will result in a block.
8. Ban-evasion and sockpuppetry: If a user is found to have created an alternate account to evade a ban, the main account will face an extended block and the sockpuppet account will also be blocked.
9. Trolls: Trolling and disruptive behavior is not tolerated here. Any act of trolling will be handled with a block. In addition, do not interact with a troll. If a troll is on the wiki, please report them to an administrator.
10. No swearing allowed: While the characters on this wiki are meant to be not only loved and enjoyed, but also hated for their deplorable actions and dislikeable traits, please refrain from using derogatory terms in the comment sections and anywhere on the wiki.
11. Do not recreate deleted pages: When a page is deleted, please message an admin in order to recreate a page.
12. Edit-war: If there is a disagreement, please try to talk out the disagreement on one’s message walls or in the comment section. Constant back-and-forth edits will result in the page getting locked and the users getting blocked. In addition, if a user constantly add and remove information from a page despite reasons from another user, without explaining their changes or using insufficient reasons for their edits, this user may face a block.
13. Edit-spamming: Making multiple "fluff edits" on articles that could be done in one or few edits, adding a category per edit, etc will be treated as edit-spam and the user may face a block.
14. Sufficient content: When making a page, be sure it has sufficient amount of information. Creating articles with little to no information, blank pages, or just an infobox or category section may face deletion on sight or deletion over time due to the lack of information. Consistently making pages with insufficient content may result in a block.
15. Character roles abuse: Making arbitrary changes to a character's character roles without providing a reason or a sufficient reason, may be treated as character roles abuse and these edits will be reverted. Abuse of character roles are frowned upon here. Users found abusing character roles or edit-warring over them may face a block.
16. Template abuse: Do not abuse the templates on articles. Templates are primarily for admin maintenance, but not exclusive to admins mind you.
17. Malicious external links: Do not add malicious links to external sites. Any acts of this will result in a block.
18. No proposals: This wiki does not require proposals for pages. Incredibly Cruel villains are meant to be loved and hated at the same time. Please read the criteria to be familiar with it. If one has questions about a character that can be a Incredibly Cruel, one can discuss the candidate on this wiki's discord server or on this wiki's discussions. If proposals are made on characters here, it will be deleted. If this persist after the deletion, the user may face a block.
19. Content Quality and Page Layout Guide: Articles are expected to follow the Page Layout Guide when they are made. Failure to meet the page layout guide when making an article will result in the page being marked for cleanup or be deleted if there is no effort made to meet the guideline.
20. New Categories: With the exception of categories on franchises, no new categories can be made without getting admin permission. If a category is created without admin permission, it will be deleted.
21. Do It Yourself: If you want something done, then do it yourself. Asking or requesting for users to make pages or add/remove content to pages is frowned upon and can be considered harassment. Consistently asking or requesting users to make edits or pages, will result in a warning or a block.
